Register for this summer's running race in Branäs

Welcome to run the Branäsutmaningen – a 7 km long cross-country race that takes you through gravel roads and paths on the upper part of Branäsberget. Here you will get a challenge for both legs and foreheads on the slopes, but will be rewarded with a magical view when you pass the top!

The race is part of this summer's Family Day in Branäs, where even the younger ones get their own running race. There will also be an afterrun, a troubadour evening and a day to explore the summer's news!

Time: Start 10:00 (mass start)

Participation fee: 250 SEK

Last day to register is June 26. Make sure to be there well before the start to register.

Prizes for first and second place

The first female and male runners to cross the finish line will each win a skiing holiday and the second to cross the finish line will each win a cycling holiday.

1st prize: Skiing holiday
2nd prize: Cycling holiday

Skiing holiday
Trip to Branäs, including accommodation, lift passes and equipment for four people, Thu–Sun/Sun–Thu during weeks 50-51, 2-5 or 12–16 2025/2026.

The prize includes accommodation in Mountain Lodge, Ski Lodge, Bävertorget or Soltorget.

Cycling holiday
Trip to Branäs, including accommodation, lift passes and equipment for four people, Thu–Sun/Sun–Thu between weeks 27–32 2025 (week 27: Fri–Sun).

The prize includes accommodation in Mountain Lodge or Soltorget.

See table of elevation differences
1-2 km – Start Soltorget, gravel road down to Sjöexpressen then climb via Kroken.
2-3 km – Top of Kroken via Långsvängen to the Storbacken intersection.
3-4 km – The Storbacken intersection via Sidvinden to the top of Medvinden.
4-5 km – The top of Medvinden through the residential areas of Illern, Tranan & Lohyllan.
5-6 km – Top of Lobacken via Genvägen and then left via Sidvinden over the bridge.
6-7 km – The middle of Björnbacken through the Älgen residential area and down via Lobacken to the finish line.
The path is marked with ribbons and arrows to facilitate navigation.

Björnbuselopt for children

Now it's the children's turn to take center stage! In Björnbuseloppet, all children get the chance to go on a 1.2 km long run.

Everyone who reaches the finish line will of course receive both a medal and a prize – because here everyone is a winner!

Family Day - create summer memories together

On June 28th, we invite you to a packed Family Day in Branäs, a day filled with joy, music and summer fun for the whole family! The Branäs Challenge kicks off the day, but that's just the beginning. During the day, there will also be fun activities for all ages in Logläntan with this year's news, not to forget the Björnbuseloppet! Cheer on the participants, enjoy the atmosphere along the course and stay for the afterrun for both runners and cheerleaders. When the evening comes, the fellowship continues with troubadour at Ladan's restaurant for a nice end to the day.
