Summer in Branäs will be more fun than ever with new bike trails, playful activities and scenic experiences for the whole family. Here are some of the exciting news that awaits!
This year we are organizing a brand new running race in Branäs, the Branäs Challenge! It is a 7 kilometer cross-country race that takes you from Soltorget, around and over the top of Branäsberget and back down to the finish line at Soltorget. It will be a great challenge for the participants and a fun day for everyone cheering along the course!
The Branäs Challenge is the start of our Family Day where, of course, even the children have their own running race – the Björnbuseloppet where everyone who crosses the finish line is a winner! During the day we also offer activities in Logläntan, after-run with live music and a troubadour evening in Ladan's restaurant to end the day.
Next to Solbandet, towards the residential area Vargen, we are building a new pump track in the ground! In a pump track, it is not about pedaling, but instead you use your body movements to “pump” the bike through the bumps and turns. This makes the pump track the perfect track to warm up on and practice your riding skills before the bigger trails.
The popular winter area for families with children is now also being developed for summer adventures! We are building two new bike trails for beginners who want to try cycling on trails. One trail will be slightly longer with gentle turns and will be called Kurvan, while the other, called Losträckan, will be straighter and located right next to the treadmill so that children can easily get back up without having to cycle or walk.
In addition to the new bike paths, we are also creating a fun path with smaller ramps. Here, children can practice their balance in a natural and playful way without even noticing that they are practicing!
We make summer more fun even outside the bike trails! At Logläntan we set up a large trampoline where you can jump and then land softly in our airbag. A perfect place for the kids to play between bike rides. Of course we install safety nets around it for a safer experience.
What's a summer without a little ball game? This year we're setting up two soccer goals that are perfect for playing some soccer and having fun with friends.
In connection with Soltorget, we are building a double cable car where children are offered a truly exciting experience with a guaranteed thrill.
How far can you see from Branäs Peak? This summer we are placing a large pair of binoculars on the top of Branäsberget so that you can enjoy the view in a whole new way. See the mountain peaks on the horizon, the Klarälven River winding through the valley and the rolling, green landscape all around.
