Branäs' work for a sustainable environment is ongoing. Thank you for helping by sorting your waste. On the maps below you can see recycling stations for our three areas, Branäsdalen, Berget and Mattesdalen.

Waste sorting - this is how you do it

Food waste – brown paper bag

Add food scraps such as fruit and vegetable peels, bread, pasta, rice, coffee grounds,

coffee filters, tea bags without a clip and eggshells in a brown paper bag.

Fill to the mark, fold and leave in the brown food waste container at the recycling station.

It is not permitted to use compostable plastic bags.

Residual waste – plastic bag

This is where you put things that cannot be recycled: diapers, snuff, dishcloths,

dish brushes etc. Put everything in a plastic bag and throw it in the residual waste container.

Packaging

Plastic: bags, food packaging, cans, bottles (rinse if necessary).

Paper/Cardboard: milk cartons, cartons, corrugated cardboard (preferably folded).

Glass: cans and bottles (lids/caps are sorted into metal or plastic).

Metal: cans, aluminum molds, lids, caps.

Pledge

Beverage cans and bottles with or without a deposit made of metal or plastic

be left in the deposit container at the recycling station.

Batteries and light bulbs

Batteries and light bulbs are sorted into the respective containers at the recycling station.

Bulky waste and hazardous waste

Electronics, furniture, plaster, boards, spray bottles, paint and chemicals or similar are left at a staffed recycling center in Sysslebäck.
